Link Building Step 3- The Press Release.
This is part of my detailed review of my previous post Phoenix SEO Link Building Steps.
In this post I am going to talk to you about Press Releases. Press Releases are a great way to rank easily and quickly, and not to mention get you those backlinks I have been talking about. Some will even go through and make your press release better by adding anchor text, and things like that.
One down side of this method, although it is rather effective is that you have to pay for press releases. Think of it as paying to advertise in the newpaper. There are normally different stages of payment. Sometimes you can select front page of Google, next day submissions etc. You can also select one release or multiple or yearly payment to save you some money!
One Press Release Company I found is SEO Press Releases. They seem to be considerably less than the popular PRWEB. Which I think are too pricey.
One upside of Press Releases is…they work! The traditional Press Release in my opinion could or would fall out of ranking, but now-a-days they seem to stay indexed for years.
Step A. How to Write an SEO Friendly Press Release
- If you have gone through my personal SEO training program, and set up a WordPress Website you are already prepared for this part, assuming you have researched and implemented your keyphrases, but if you haven’t here we go.
- If you are unsure of what to write about at first. Using the launch of your new website is a great idea, because it will probably be easier to use your keyphrase or keyphrases to explain your business.
1. Use your keyphrase or keyphrases in the beginning of the title of the Press Release.
2. Use your keyphrase is the beginning, middle, and end of the Press Release body. Please make it longer than a paragraph, the more content and a keyphrase rich Press Release the better.
3. Highlight around 3 of your keyphrases and link them to your site, ( hopefully in the url has that keyphrase) to establish anchor text.
4. Use images, if it gives you the option to use title/description on the picture use your keyphrase.
5. Link it to your site, by setting the main url to be your site.
6. If it asks for “tags” those again are your keyphrase
7. If it lets you submit to a category, submit it to something as relative to your niche as possible.
8. If it asks for a date try to not put one in, so it doesn’t become outdated.
These are the basic steps for an SEO friendly Press Release. Remember researching your keyphrases before hand will make a complete difference in the ranking of the Press Release.
