Phoenix SEO Link Building Part 4 Article Directories

This is part of my detailed review of my previous post Phoenix SEO Link Building Steps.     Link Building Step 4- Article Directories.

In this step I am going to show you how to use a post  you have already written, and submit it to Article Directories without it being “duplicate content”. Wait, did I go too fast? What is duplicate content? It is having the same group of words or paragraphs in more than one place. That happens by copying and pasting the same post numerous times, or even once, or when someone would take your post and post it to their blog, or vice versa. Back to my theory of if it is too good to be true then it probably is, so don’t plagiarize! Think of it this way, you are searching on the internet for information that you needed to complete something, and you kept running into the same info everywhere, it would be quite annoying, so let’s get started.

How to get past writing so many posts that your fingers get carpal tunal by the age of 30

A great tool to use to write multiple (like 500 versions of the same one) articles are article spinners. One of my favorites because it is free! Is Jetspinner. You can take your existing article spin a title, description, summary, resource box, and post body. That means you will be able to “alter the text” or even add to it to make it even more full of content without being deemed duplicate content.

Some people out there in the community might say this is black hat. Absolutely not. In fact Jetspinner is white hat certified, because you are making unique content. If you submit 500 of the same articles, you might only be indexed 3 or 4, but with spinning you are submitting a brand new version of an article each time. Deeming it unique. I don’t see anything wrong with  making it different and spinning it and letting someone else who may not have seen the post otherwise.

Where to submit your spun articles

In the previous posts I talked about choosing to build links from a place that is in your niche. Same is true here. You want to try to get as nichey as possible. This could be by choosing to submit it to only a food directory if it is about recipes, or by selecting a category that is as close to your theme as possible. Don’t get lazy here I know you just spun a lot of articles! Some places to look for article submissions are found here : directory listing. Now the lower the Alexa ranking the better it is, but the Google PR the higher that is, the better it is. In the 3rd column you will see a NF in red. This means “no follow” Which means no link to you, so skip it. This directory listing shows “niche” directorys, and if you hover over the “submit” button it tells the Google PR ranking . Another good way to find places to submit your articles are just plain searching Google by typing in that keyphrases relative to your post and searching for “article directories” after it like so: “food article directories” Don’t be afraid to search in Google. I promise it won’t bite!

How to submit the article

After you find a place you want to submit the article to make sure you are using the keyphrase in the title, description, summary, resource box, and post body. Make sure add that anchor text in the post body as well. Remember, send them to your site. This is the main purpose for this! To add the anchor text and make it a link. Simple highlight the keyphrase for the article, link by link icon ( different on different sites) and putting in your url –> “http://yoursite.com” This way you are using that keyphrase as a link with it. Super powerful!

Now you are ready to spin, submit, and kick back and wait for those links ;) and remember, NEVER pay to be in a directory. If it asks, move on find a new one.
