Our Process

Once you have followed our get started steps, have decided you are interested in working with us, and you have submitted a questionnaire form via our contact page the following is our process for receiving a proposal, payment processing, and our design/ development process.
 

Our process for obtaining a proposal

 
1 | Fill out and submit our questionnaire on our contact page so we can get a clear picture for what your project is and whether you need design, development, or both.

2 | We will reply with our questions if needed to firm up a proposal, submit a proposal, or schedule a 15 min. consultation or 30 min. screen sharing call ( there is a fee for the 30 min. service) where we go over the questionnaire together and look at examples online to further narrow down the details. We do initial consultations on Monday and Wednesdays, and these must be pre-scheduled.

3 | If you are pleased with the telephone call, the proposal, or our initial ideas, you let us know you want to hire us. At this point we do a little happy dance. Once dancing been subsided we will then email you our contract and invoice (50% of contract total). Once the 50% deposit is received we will place you into our production que and notify you of our first milestone eta.

*Quotes are good for 30 days , and your deposit is what solidifies both your place in the production
queue and your price. For insta-confirmation, we take Visa, MC, AmEx, Discover, and PayPal.You
can mail us an old-fashioned check, too – but this delays confirming your spot
on the calendar appropriately.

Design & development process ( The fun part)

 
1 The Questionnaire | We will send you our design questionnaire form. Included in this form is everything from colors, fonts, examples of site you like, and sites you don’t like. Once we receive your form we will schedule a kick off call to review the questionnaire together if needed. We’ll also send you an email with your “homework” – everything from getting a login questionnaire to providing us with high-resolution logos/images. *It is best you have your images and logo prior to starting. If we are designing your logo this well be our first step in the design process, and the following step below will follow.
 
2 Wireframes | With our questionnaire in hand we move to the first deliverables phase. In this phase we will create all needed wireframes for our designs. Here is an example of our wireframe just in case you are not familiar with what these are. We go through the approval process with these and once these are approved we are ready for the next phase, the design phase.
 
3 Designs | We first start with the homepage design as this will determine the design for the interior pages. We create all designs in Photoshop and Illustrator. We will send 1 homepage design and we work together with you to revise the homepage design until it is approved. Once the homepage is approved we move to the interior pages. Once all designs are approved we will submit our invoice for the next payment of 25%. Once payment is received we will then move to the next phase, development.
 
4 Development | Development is done on our development server affectionately named “The WordPress Lochness”. This is where all the magic happens and our developers will slice and convert the approved designs into WordPress. Once development is complete we will send you a link to review the site in its entirety. This is the actual site that will be migrated to your domain.
 
5 Migration | All designed and developed sites include migration to your live server. What? You thought we were going to leave you hanging? Once the site is throughly reviewed by you and approved we will submit our final invoice for the remaining 25%. Once final payment is received we will schedule the migration and launch of your website!
 
6 Support | During our design and development process we are with you step by step for support. Once the site is approved, and migrated to your live domain we offer 3 days of support this includes answering any questions you may have. Any correspondance or edits after the 3 day period following the launch of your site will incur our hourly rate.

For our development process the process is the same except we move straight to the development phase after step 1.
