My Background
I live in Indonesia, in a city called Bandung, on an island called Java (if you see the map of Bali, you’ll see a huge island on the left). It’s where I was born, raised, and living my life. A very happening creative city! When I was 9 I started to sell my drawings to my classmates and neighbors, thus realizing that I could make decent money to spend by doing something I love
. Years later I went to the Faculty of Visual Art and Design, Bandung Institute of Technology, where I got my bachelor degree in Interior Design. While studying interior design, I kept my passion on graphic design and multimedia. I was very fascinated by 3D art, and independently learning 3D programs little-by-little, a labor of love. I was also continuing to do illustrations, specially comic books, something I was very fond back in my childhood years.
I joined a computer graphics school in ’02 as an instructor. I taught 3D animation/presentation and basic video editing. In ’05 I founded a design consultation company with a friend, and in a short time we began to handle several multi-national companies as our clients, mostly designing their below-the-line branding/marketing campaign programs. I also created several DVD presentations as the designer, animator, programmer, music composer, video editor, and narrator.
Basically, I love to visualize : translate, interpret, and convert ideas, concepts, messages, imaginations (and the wildest, if the price is matched) into visual forms.
My Present
I am now a freelance visual artist/designer, and constantly pursue higher achievements. I live with my wife and 2 adorable kids.
